I was fortunate to share first grade students with Sarah Sullivan.  She has a gift for motivating students to learn, moving them forward academically, and having a good time all at once.  She taught me to work hard and play hard, and to help children do the same.  Sarah also always has a book nearby, and one in the wings.  Recently, she created an amazing outdoor reading nook in a cozy little space outside her front door.  She has encouraged me, and several others to live life vicariously - using books as vehicles when necessary.
